Apart from the Atlanta Hawks rockin' a brand new (and decidedly boring) design, we haven't been treated to any major design changes in the NBA thus far this season. There were however a few teams who busted out some nice tweaks during the pre-season ... let's take a look.
Up first are the Celtics and Raptors, who came together for an exhibition match in Rome, Italy. In a smart marketing move, both teams altered their playing colours slightly to increase their appeal to the locals. The Celts adapted their team name to suit ....
Whilst the Raps touched up their side panels ....
The Raptors later travelled to Madrid, Spain for an appointment with the Grizzlies. They flipped the script here with a striking combination of red and gold. We think it' awesome, but judge for yourself ....
The Grizz meanwhile attempted to incorporate the Spanish national colours with their primary dark blue, but this unfortunately didn't look too great ....
As we say, subtle changes are sometimes the best, and these examples may be worth considering when it comes time to order your next set of uniforms. Peace!
